Waco Inmate Search and Jail Roster
The Waco jail roster lists people currently held at the McLennan County Jail following an arrest in Waco or elsewhere in McLennan County. Waco is the county seat and its police department handles most arrests within city limits, but all those in custody go to the county facility. The inmate search is free and accessible online any time. Waco has a population of roughly 139,000 and is one of the larger cities in Central Texas. If you need to find someone recently arrested in Waco, check the county jail roster first. This page covers how to search, who runs the jail, and what other state records are available.

Waco Police Department
Waco PD makes arrests throughout the city and works alongside other agencies on joint operations. When officers arrest someone, they handle booking and then transport the person to the McLennan County Jail. The city does not operate its own lockup for long-term holding.
For police reports and incident records, contact Waco PD directly. The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, gives you the right to request these records. Submit your request in writing with as much detail as possible about the incident or record you need. The department has 10 business days to respond. Some records may be held back if they involve an active investigation, but the department must tell you what it is withholding.
